Executive Director, Dr. Denise Hines, to Present Two Sessions on GaHIN
The Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN) is pleased to invite its current and future members to the Georgia Healthcare Trade Faire & Regional Conference, which takes place on October 16, 2014 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Partnering with the Georgia Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (GAHIMSS), GaHIN will host two sessions specific to Georgia’s Health Information Exchange (HIE).
In its ninth year, this signature event is free to the staff members of provider organizations. The Conference focuses on Information Technology within the Healthcare Industry and the state of Georgia, to include Health Information Exchange, Meaningful Use, Emerging Technologies and Clinical Informatics. The conference provides a day-long immersion into Healthcare Information Technology through panel sessions, speakers and vendor presentations. Local thought leaders discuss issues, trends and the future direction of health information technology.
During the conference, GaHIN Executive Director, Dr. Denise Hines, will present information on Georgia’s HIE landscape and will lead a team of experts in discussions and demonstrations around maintaining a secure Health Information Exchange, supporting Meaningful Use requirements and facilitating improvements in health outcomes.
GaHIN will present two sessions:
11:45 A.M.
The “State” of Georgia’s Health Information Exchange – GaHIN

The 9th Annual Georgia Healthcare Trade Faire & Regional Conference is hosted by GAHIMSS and is Georgia’s largest annual Health IT (HIT) conference. This event draws more than 500 attendees annually from the nation’s leading solution providers, Georgia-based hospitals, health systems, medical clinics and other places of patient care throughout the state. The event fosters networking and collaboration, education and perspective covering an array of HIT-related topics specific to Georgia.

The other half of the day consists of a trade fair, which historically has featured more than 50 HIT vendors exhibiting their latest HIT-related products and/or services.
