Atlanta, GA, November 4, 2025--At the end of October, GaHIN reached another major milestone in the Social Care Integration Initiative as five Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) Inpatient Facilities (Georgia Regional Hospital (GRHA) - Atlanta , Central State Hospital (CSH) - Milledgeville, West Central Regional Hospital – Columbus, Georgia Regional Hospital – Savannah, and East Central Regional Hospital - Augusta & Gracewood) and the first of Claratel Behavioral Health (Claratel) went live on the GaHIN network.
This milestone is part of a broader statewide effort to connect 22 Community Service Boards, five inpatient facilities, and 66 Community-Based Organizations through a single, secure data exchange. By bridging behavioral, social, and physical health data, Georgia is building a stronger, more connected care community that supports the whole person.
GaHIN is on track for all 22 Community Service Boards (CSBs) to be fully connected and operational within the next couple of months.
GaHIN now receives Admission, Discharge, and Transfer (ADT) notifications and can exchange documents through CareQuality. This new level of interoperability ensures behavioral health and social care data flow securely between providers, giving care teams a more complete view of each individual’s health journey.
GaHIN will continue expanding this work over the next five years with ongoing onboarding, optimization, and scalable infrastructure that grows with Georgia’s needs. Each new connection, including the DBHDD and Claratel go-lives, brings the state closer to coordinated, person-centered care for all Georgians.
