Dennis White Selected as the 2013 Community Leader of the Year
The Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) has selected four of Atlanta’s most outstanding health IT industry leaders as the recipients of this year’s MAC Phoenix Awards. The awards recognize significant contributions to the growth of the health IT industry in Georgia. Winners were announced at the fourth annual Health IT Leadership Summit November 12 at Atlanta’s Fox Theater.
This year’s awards were given in four categories: Startup Company of the Year, Emerging Company of the Year, University Advancement of the Year and Community Leader of the Year. Dennis White, CEO of the Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN), was selected as 2013 Community Leader of the Year.

As a recognized community leader, successful business executive and chairman of the Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN), we are poised to maintain our position as the nation’s Health IT Capital,” said David Hartnett, co-founder of the Health IT Leadership Summit and Vice President, Bioscience & Health IT Industry Development, Metro Atlanta Chamber.

He has extensive knowledge of federal and state government contracting, operational and organizational development, managing cost plus and fixed price contracts and implementing large-scale technology projects. His in-depth comprehension of the healthcare marketplace is evidenced by his accomplishments in health information technology as well as his background in marketing information technology solutions to major healthcare accounts.
